Message from the Chief Administrator, Koki Iwahara

I can’t believe it’s been already 13 years since we started the JCK Online shop in the year of 2003.

At that time, Japanese chef knives were new and almost unknown to overseas market, so it was a big challenge for us to start selling to overseas end-users through internet. Japanese knives are much different from the German knives that have been most popular for overseas professional chefs and serious home users, so we had to start promoting first users by educating to let them know how to use Japanese knives and how good they are comparing with German knives.

As the first users are gradually increasing, we have started receiving very positive feedback, such as “Amazingly sharp and cutting performance” and “Once used Japanese knife, I never use other knives” etc. These customers feedback and supports have encouraged us to add more brand lines and develop new products. Now, we carry over 2000 variety of knives to choose from the Japanese major brands and JCK Original lines to rare Japanese traditional blacksmith knives, to meet with your every cutting task for the beginners to professional chefs.

We would like to thank you so much for your business and support from the bottom of our heart. Though the company has grown with your supports in these 13 years, our mission and commitment to our starting philosophy remain same. We will continue to make every effort to bring you the finest Japanese knives at the valued price and satisfy our customers with better service.

Stay Sharp and Happy!!

Koki Iwahara
